September 27th is quickly approaching and the day here in Western North Carolina will always carry a deep weight for our community. This date marks loss, hardship, and the storm that changed so many lives. As we come together on this day, we pause to honor that grief, knowing it cannot be erased.
At a bridge, dog tags hang as reminders—each one representing a story, a loss, a name that will never be forgotten. They call us to remember, but also to press forward in resilience.
Now, in the very same place where the waters tore down, a community bridge has been rebuilt. What was once washed away by Hurricane Helene now stands as a testimony of faith, strength, and community rising together.
 Date: September 27th 2025
 Location: Sweet Dreams Campground
Time: 12-2pm *Ceremony begins at 12 noon, community time to follow*
We invite you to join us as we dedicate this bridge—as an honor to the ones we lost, a monument to human effort, and as a symbol of Hope and restoration our communities need. if you cannot make it and still would like to have your dog tag represented, we can provide an address to send those to.
